AutoXpert Services LLC (AXS) was established to create a truly unique American enterprise featuring and themed around the asset on which the majority of American’s rely and which many enthusiasts enjoy – the Automobile! We provide expert, industry leading automotive services including vehicle maintenance, inspection, repair, accessory installation, and technical consulting for vehicle owners, drivers, car dealers, and vehicle manufacturers. Leveraging our knowledge and experience in the automotive service and quality assurance industries, we are laser focused on our efforts to provide an exceptional customer experience!
Jim Wiberg is an ASE master certified automotive technician and industry professional with over 20 years of experience in vehicle service, retail service operations, business process development/improvement, and quality assurance.
Jim is passionate about the automotive industry. When he was a kid, Jim spent countless hours in his family garage with his father getting his hands dirty building go-carts, tinkering on engines, and fabricating/repairing a variety of machines. By age 14, Jim convinced his dad to enroll him in a mail order ATV, motorcycle, and small engines repair course. While friends were out playing, Jim was dedicating every available moment to studying and completing the course material.
That deep fascination in motor vehicles sparked a desire to pursue a career in the automotive industry. In order to further advance his technical education, Jim enrolled in and later graduated from the Capital Area Career Center in Mason, Michigan with a degree in Automotive Technology. Following this, Jim began training as an apprentice technician in the GM AYES (Automotive Youth Educational System) program at a Chevrolet dealership in Lansing, MI. After completing the technician apprentice certification program, Jim went on over the next seven years to work as full-service technician at several major brand auto dealers and a high-line independent service garage where he gained valuable experience as technician, service consultant, and eventually, as shop manager.
Following this, Jim went on to work overseas as a shop supervisor for a defense contractor in Afghanistan overseeing the service of military vehicles and equipment prior to moving into a corporate role in technical consulting for Ford. Jim later joined Toyota corporate where he spent 11 years and held several roles in the automotive product quality and service support divisions, including roles as field technical specialist providing support to dealers, field product engineer investigating product quality issues in the field, quality engineer leading product quality investigations, and later as engineering manager in powertrain component quality group. During this time, Jim also studied business and systems engineering via online courses through BYU-Idaho.
Jim is an entrepreneur at his core and an astute observer of business and customer service practices. Through his extensive experience in and study of the automotive industry, Jim observed that there is a significant shortage of businesses focused on providing high quality automotive service and exceptional customer experiences. Recognizing this, Jim set out to create a new automotive service model that would not only offer the highest quality vehicle services and exceed the expectations of customers – the vehicle owners and drivers – but also help to meet the needs of the community. It is with that purpose in mind that Jim founded AutoXpert Services.
